CHARLESTON YOUTH DROWNED IN CUBA
Harry Virgil Reed, 19, formerly of Charleston, was drowned when he fell overboard from one of the small boats of the U. S. S. Antares at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, early Sunday morning. His body has not yet been recovered by searchers, according to a message received from the Navy department by his father, O. C. Reed.
Two years prior to his enlistment, Reed was employed by the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone company.
He is survived by his father, two brothers and three sisters, of stop No. 5, Dunbar line.
