THURMOND _ SIMON PAUL STICKLER, 77, OF Thurmond, Fayette County, died Jan. 19, 1988, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, after a long illness. He attended Lock Bridge Methodist Church, Meadow Bridge. He was retired from Sun-Sand Quarry Co., Thurmond. Surviving: wife, Naomi Calvert Stickler; daughters, Madelyn Gill of Meadow Bridge, Kathryn Gill of Bellwood, Donna Adkins of Hilltop, Brenda Hunt of Glen Jean; sons, John Hardy of Bellwood, Paul Arnold of Pineville, David at home, Terry Calvert of Redstar; stepson, Daniel Lyons of Oak Hill; sister, Ann Gwinn Gladden of Lock Bridge; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Ross Harold officiating. Burial will be in DeQuasie Cemetery, Lock Bridge. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.9,2
