Blanche died on 20 Jun 2008 at Hilltop Center, Hilltop, Fayette Co, WV, at age 91. WRISTON — Blanche Ellen Light, 91, of Wriston, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008, at the Hilltop Center, following an extended illness.

Born on May 7, 1917, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Lilburn and Ida Hester Phillips.

Mrs. Light was a member of the Wriston Church of God. She was a homemaker.

Preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Clifton Light, and two sons, Nathan Light and Edgar Light.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Gary Light and wife, Dottie, of Wriston and Virgil Light and wife, Jolene, of Barberton, Ohio; five daughters, Phyllis Jean Walton and husband, Lee, of Shelby, N.C., Clara Nadine Settle of Barberton, Ohio, Joyce Connor of Shady Spring, Donna Sue Jones of Newton, N.C., and Sandra Kay Taylor-Hat-cher and husband, Dempsey, of Oak Hill; a brother, Chandler Phillips; 52 grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, at the Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, with Pastor Jerry Bush officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.

The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
