Buddy was a 1951 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill and a graduate of Concord College.

As successful businessman, Walt retired from IBM having worked as a marketer for 25 years. He and Peggy owned General Business Service in Oak Hill.

Other than his family Walt had two great loves in his life - music and sea.

He leaves behind his adoring family which includes his loving wife, Margaret "Peggy" McClaskey Farrish; his four children, Joy Farrish of Oak Hill, Beth Ann Farrish Frommer of Jensen Beach, FL; Amy Jo Farrish of Oak Hill and Walter F. Farrish, III of Oak Hill; and grandchildren, Maris Quinn Frommer, Samantha Nibert, Dawson Nibert, and Walter F. Farrish, IV.

Funeral services will be on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 2:30 PM with Rev. Alvin Angle officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Oak Hill/Collins High Alumni Association at PO Box462, Oak Hill, WV 25901.

Elizabeth Blevins Roncaglione

Elizabeth Blevins Roncaglione, age 91 of Long Beach, CA, formerly of Tazewell, VA, died Thurs., March 11, 2010, at Long Beach, CA. Born Jan. 24, 1919 at Seaboard, VA, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Betty Hogston Blevins. Mrs. Roncaglione had worked as a teacher and reading specialist in the West Virginia school system for over 28 years, having spent most of her life in West Virginia. After her husband’s death in Morgantown, WV, she had made her home in Tazewell, VA, Port St. Lucie, FL and Long Beach, CA. She received her education from Concord University and the University of West Virginia where she received her Masters degree. She was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard M. Roncaglione, Sr; five sisters, Hess Farmer, Ruth Starling, Viola Sims, Less Marrs and Betty B. Morefield; three brothers, Bruce, Patrick, and Bill Blevins; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Roncaglione.

Survivors include her son, Howard M. Roncaglione, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL; her daughter, Susan D. Roncaglione Hagar and husband, Terry, of Long Beach, CA; four grandchildren, Christie Jordan, Patrick Hagar, Howard M. Roncaglione, III, and Rebecca Hardison; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and many other family members and family friends.

Funeral services for Elizabeth Blevins Roncaglione were conducted at 12:00 noon, Sat., March 20, 2010 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA, with Rev. Danny Starling officiating. Burial followed at the Plateau Historical Cemetery, Woods Ave., in Oak Hill, WV. Grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers.

The family received friends at the funeral home from 6 – 8 p.m. Thurs., March 18, 2010.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations of a new or used book be made to a local library in honor of the many years Mrs. Roncaglione taught reading.
