Born Sept. 2, 1926, at Robson, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles Henry and Hattie Burgess Reese.

Mr. Reese was a coal miner for 38 years, retired from Cannelton Coal in 1981 and was a US Army veteran, having served during World War II.

He was of the Baptist faith, and a lifetime member of the UMWA.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren at his camp in Ansted.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence Reese, Herbert Reese, Darrell Reese, Ronald Reese; and four sisters, Elsie Britt, Cleo Smith, Patricia Scott, and Ada Sexton.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita D. Manley Reese of Oak Hill; two sons and three daughters, Wanda (Ernie) Dickinson of Oak Hill, Gary (Becky) Reese of Oak Hill, Kathie (James) Brown of Dover, Del., Bobby Junior (Kristi) Reese of Oak Hill, and Barbara (Bob) Price of Oak Hill; seven grandchildren, Brigitte Chandler, Willie Dickinson, Terry Freeland, Danette White, Ashley Reese-Johnson, Ryan Price, and Nick Price; and seven great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Rudell Bloomfield officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Graveside services will be conducted by the VFW Post No. 3110 of Oak Hill.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Family will serve as pallbearers.

Bailey Whitt, 63, of 1568 US 68 N, Old Town, died Monday at 11 p.m. at Miami Valley Hospital where he had been a patient two weeks. He suffered an extended illness.
Mr. Whitt was born in Skaggs, Va., May 3, 1911, the son of Jahile and Ibby Lee Whitt.
He was a retired fireman at Wright-Patterson AF Base; was a World War II veteran and a member of the Eagles Lodge in Xenia.
Survivors include his widow, Evelyn; two sisters, Mrs. Patty Cline ande Mrs. Dora Blankenship, both of Welch, W. Va., and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Burcham Funeral Home in Fairborn with the Rev. Clarence Snyder officiating.
Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today, 6 to 9 p.m.2
