Leonard Frank Stalcup, 86, of Clothier, Logan County, died Friday, October 21, 2005, at the Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison. Born November 19, 1918, in Whitley County, Ky., he was the son of the late Lincoln Elmer and Mary Dean Boute Stalcup. Mr. Stalcup was also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Eleanor Margaret Bragg Stalcup. Mr. Stalcup was a retired coal miner from Sharples Coal Company, a member of the UMWA, and an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater. Survivors include his sons, Charles E, Frankie, Bob, and John Stalcup, all of Clothier; daughters and sons-in-law, Dena and Ray Block of Columbus, Ohio, Martha and Joseph Gala of Phoenix, Ariz., and Kay Mannella of Mesa, Ariz; brothers, Lincoln Elmer Stalcup Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, and Eddie Stalcup of Nevada; sisters, Lucille Thompson of Clendenin, Ruth Atkins of Martinsburg, and Marlene Vaughan of Hemet, Calif; grandchildren, Tina Riner, Adam Gala, Sarah Gala, Amanda Gala, Andrea Armenta, Jessie Kirby, Jason Kirby, and Cindy Kirby; and great-grandchildren, Valerie Scott, Preston Riner, Alexander Gala, Julian Melendrez, Samuel Melendrez, Jordan Armenta, Tyler Armenta, Madison Armenta, and Joshua Armenta. KIMBERLY - H.V. "Peck" Ridenour, 82, of Kimberly, W.Va., died Jan. 20, 2004, in Montgomery General Hospital, after a long illness.

Born Oct. 8, 1921, in Powellton, the son of the late Ernest and Louella Florence Harris Ridenour, he was a coal miner for numerous mines, owner of Ridenour Trucking and Peck Trucking, and a former member of Kimberly Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his very loving wife, Mary Jane Conley Ridenour; and two sons, Jack Eugene Jarrett, and Vernon Ellis Ridenour.

He is survived by his children, Clinton D. Ridenour of Rock Hill, S.C., Ernest A. Ridenour of Greenville, S.C., Philip Ridenour of Palmer, Alaska, Dale L. Ridenour of Kimberly and Gail L. Cottrell of Kimberly; 15, grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Hooper, Bostic & Layne Funeral Home, Montgomery with the Rev. John Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
