PENDLETON - Damon Newton Pendleton, 48, of Macclenny, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2002. He was a native of Jacksonville and had lived in Baker County for the past 28 years. He was a 32degree Mason and a member of the Riverside Lodge #266. He was a member of the Scottish Rites and the Shriners Morocco Temple. His son, Patrick, precedes him in death. Survivors include his wife, Deborah; sons, Craig (Lisa), Phillip, Ronald; brothers, Frank (Alice) Pendleton, Ronald (Susan) Pendleton, and Donald (Laura) Pendleton; sister, Katherine Dumond; granddaughter, Brittany Paige. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 2, at 1PM in the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Macclenny, with Rev. Anthony Rister and Rev. A. J. Nevill officiating. Mrs. Patricia Ann Hammer (nee Showkey) died unexpectedly at Abington Hospital on July 4, 2017 in Abington, Pennsylvania at the age of 79.

She was born on April 20, 1938 in Oak Hill West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Clayton Edward Showkey and Gaynell Imogene Boothe. Her late husband Ronald M. Hammer preceded her by almost seven years.

Patricia enjoyed spending time by the ocean and going to bingo. She would often talk of her dreams to get in the car and travel for days on end.

Patricia is survived by her four siblings; Rita (Fred), Gail (Harrold), Judy, and David as well as her five children; Celeste (Robert), Ronald (Danelle), Dorothy (Mark), Gayle and Keith. She was the grandmother of 12 and a great-grandmother of 8.

She lived at home and spent most of her time playing video games with her youngest son Keith and two of her grandsons Damien and Jarred.

Those who were fortunate enough to have known her will miss her wholesome and joyful spirit tremendously.5

Dale Van Zile, 69, Spring Hill, Fla., died Friday, March 23, 2012, following a long battle with M.S. Born and raised in Laurelton, NJ, he wore many hats over the years. He was a machinist and a mechanic for several local businesses and a lifelong race car enthusiast. He was on the racing team that brought Stock car#15 Hank Dudley the checkered flag at Wall stadium in his younger years. He later retired to Tennessee.

He was predeceased by his parents, Walter H. Van Zile Jr. and Vera Durrua Van Zile. He is survived by a son, Dale Van Zile Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; a grandson, John Van Zile of Mesa, AZ; a brother, Peter Van Zile of Pt Pleasant, NJ; and a sister, Lynn Anderson of Spring Hill, FL.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at First Baptist Church of Laurelton, Rt. 88, Brick, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the M.S. Foundation.2
