She was born October 28, 1925, at Blue Sulfur Springs, the daughter of Edgar and Virgie Lusher.
Patsy was 16 when she graduated as valedictorian from Smoot High School and was a former employee of Charleston Newspapers. She was an avid reader, a loving mentor to her grandchildren and a member of Midway Community Church.
She was preceded in death by Harold Pittman, her husband of more than 50 years; sons, Douglas and John Pittman; and a daughter, Shirley.
Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Danny Pittman of Charleston and Michael Pittman and his wife, Sheryl, of Charleston; daughters, Joanne Javins and her husband, Jim, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Beatrice Perry and her husband, Bud, of Charleston; daughter in-law, Sharon Pittman of Charleston; sister, Jessie Rae Bridges of Rainelle; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor David Crowder officiating. Burial will be in the Pittman family cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.4,1
