He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Fox Fisher, brother William (Shawn) Fisher, and special aunt Lucille Harvey.
He is survived by wife Carol Bishop Fisher and sons Mitchell Austin Fisher and Remington Forest Fisher; father Roger P. Fisher and wife Zona, and extended family Rhonda and Rick (Matthew and Crystal), Debbie and Shawn (Paris and Jostyn); sister-in-law Debbie Fisher; aunts and uncles J.T. and Margerite Fullen, Woody and Margaret Fisher, Mable Fox, Laura and Hershel Dick, and numerous cousins including special cousins Timmy and Linny Fullen.
He is also survived by father and mother-in-law, Paul and Shirley Bishop, brother and sister-in-laws Susan and Jon Bradd (Chris), Janice Bishop (Josh and wife Jenny), Paul and Jodi Bishop, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He will be truly missed by special friends Ernie, Olga and Iggy Martinez.
Steve has had many pets over the years, including his current and most fondest, Flash.
The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel, from 5-7 PM, Sunday, July 22nd, and 5-7 PM, Monday, July 23rd, with service following at 7PM July 23rd.2 |

He graduated from Lord Botetourt High School in Roanoke and later received an Associate's degree in commercial art from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he met his wife. He was employed at Super Sport, the Golden Nugget Tavern, and the Erie Art Museum. He enjoyed drawing and sketching pictures, his dogs, art, and was thrilled to be a part of the Erie Art Museum staff where he worked the front desk from 2008-2010. Besides his father, he is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Debra D. Durfee Fisher, one brother, Steve Fisher (Carol) of Roanoke, Va., his mother-in-law, Delores Durfee of Millcreek, two brothers-in-law, Mike Durfee (Patti) of McKean, Pa., and Jeff Durfee (Julie), of Waterford, Pa., two nephews and four nieces. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service there at 3:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. David Snyder. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.2 |

She was born Sept. 8, 1927, in Amelia County, Va., to Cleo Creed Smith and Nannie Sue Farmer Smith, the sixth of 10 children. She and her family moved to Huntsville and later Madison, where she and her family have resided for over 50 years.
She worked hard all her life as a homemaker, later as a nurse and always served her family, church and community.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999, Willard D. Underwood; in 2008 she lost her dear and special friend, Mr. Charles Hand.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail U. Banks and family of Fayetteville, Tenn; three sons, Daniel, Christopher and Tom and their families of this area; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, all whom were her earthly treasures.

A native of Hinton, W.Va., she had been a resident of Newport News since 1945. Mrs. Underwood was a member of Parkview Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Her favorite pastime was her family. She also had a tremendous faith in God, which showed through her love for her family and neighbors.
Mrs. Underwood was preceded in death by her husband, A.T. Underwood.
She is survived by two daughters, Judi Watson and her husband, James, of Newport News, and Sandra Franklin of Raleigh, N.C; one sister, Orma Tolbert of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Tommy Dixon, Ben, Tracey and Allen Honeycutt, and Carla Arthur; and three great- grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, in Peninsula Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.2,5 |
