Born February 25, 1926 in Clifton Forge, she was a daughter of the late John S. and Florence Hall Wright.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church and the Sarah Lynn Bible Class.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Lynn "Johnny" Helmintoller; sister, Clarice Wright Cox; two brothers, Brent Wright & Johnny S. Wright; and two granddaughters.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Vess & husband Freddie of Cumberland, MD, Lynda Dilley & husband Nathan of Lewisburg, WV, Michelle Via & husband Ricky of Wesgate; two sons, Stanley W. Helmintoller & wife Frances of Evington, VA, George B. Helmintoller & wife Chris of Newport News; twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.1 
Burial* Her body was interred at Low Moor, Alleghany Co, VA, at Alleghany Memorial Park.1
