On 3 May 1831, George Fridley purchased 186 acres in Rich Patch on Blue Spring Run from Charlotte Persinger, widow of Moses Persinger and his surviving children. 20 acres of the upper part of the tract was conveyed to Michael Kimberlin. This marks George's appearance in Alleghany Co, having been enumerated in Rockingham Co in 1830. This is the same tract that was later sold by his heirs in 1849.9

George's son John sold land on 19 July 1845 described as "adjoining the lands of .. George Fridley heirs.." In the 17 November 1845 Court, the settlement of administration accounts of George Fridley, dec'd, done by Lewis Fridley, son, was submitted to Court. George likely died in mid-1843, as he was recorded selling land in March 1843, paid taxes on 22 April 1843, but was deceased by September 1843.13
