Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Blake, 60, who died at her home here Wednesday of chronic myocarditis after a 6 months' illness will be held on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Baptist Church with Rev. C.S. Donnelly, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the High Lawn cemetery here with Tyree & Dew Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Blake was a member of the old Bethel church for over 50 years. She is the widow of the late J. Ed Blake who died about 3 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Meredith Burgess who died in 1923 [sic: 1924]. Mrs. Blake was born in Fayette County and had lived practically all her life in this city.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Augusta Crowder of Gilbert, two brothers, H.B. [sic: H.W.] Burgess of Romoland, Cal., and Richard Burgess of Cranberry, and one daughter Mrs. Melba Frantz of Summersville.2,8,1 |

My Grandmother lived with my family until she died.
