Isaac B. Scott

M, #9910, b. circa 1800, d. 17 Mar 1881
MotherElizabeth Scott b. circa 1780
Birth*circa 1800 Isaac was born at Frederick Co, MD, circa 1800. The parentage of Isaac Scott is not known for certain. He may have been a son of Joseph Scott, and thus a brother to George and Joseph Scott, but given the close relationship to Henry Scott (Henry Scott signed as a witness to the marriage permission from Isaac Harless for daughter Mary to marry Isaac), he could be a brother of Henry's. It is known from Giles Co. court records (1818) that Henry was the natural son of Elizabeth Scott by Jeremiah Moles (whom she later married in 1801). The main inconsistency with this assumption is that Isaac, in the 1870 Meigs Co, OH census, noted that he was born in Maryland and both his parents were foreign born, and in the 1880 Kanawha Co, WV census, that he was born in Maryland, and his parents both in England.
