Patsy Susan Blake Lawton, age 85, of Oak Hill, WV, passed away o Monday, June 11, 2012 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill. Born September 25, 1926 in Oak Hill, WV, she was the daughter of the late Seth and Fannie Mahoney Blake. Patsy was a secretary for the Department of Labor, now MSHA, at Mt. Hope and a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church. She married William Richard “Bill” Lawton, on August 26, 1950 who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lois Munoz, Merle Burnette, Marguerite Gutherie and by a brothers, Ray Blake. Survivors include her nephew and caregiver, Tom Munoz and his wife Darlene of Oak Hill and additional nephews Jim and Debi Burnette of New Concord, Ohio and Jerry and Mary Burnette of Chicago, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM. Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Oak Hill Baptist Church, 613 Lundale Drive, Oak Hill with Pastor Bryan Knight and Pastor David Sneed officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, WV. Friends may call at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, from 6-8 PM on Thursday, June 14, 2012 and at the Oak Hill Baptist Church one hour prior to services on Friday.
