Flavius Hugh McClung, 73, of Summersville died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at the Summersville Memorial Hospital Extended Care Facility. Born March 8, 1931, in Canvas, he was a son of the late Gus and Susie Arbaugh McClung. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Orvil, Clyde and Lester; and two sisters, Audrey and Ginny.
Flavius graduated from Nicholas County High School and then attended Marshall University. While at Marshall, he was drafted into the Naval services and was stationed in Japan for two years. He returned to Marshall University and graduated with a degree in psychology. He moved to Cleveland, Ohio, and lived there for 12 years. His job then transferred him to Denver, Colo., where he worked in sales for 15 years before returning to West Virginia.
Survivors include one sister, Jean Dotson of Summersville; and seven nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at White Funeral Home, Summersville, with the Rev. Nelson Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Walker Memorial Park, Summersville.
Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.1

Born on June 27, 1940, at Victor, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Alta Fox Wilson.

Mrs. Allport was a member of Lansing Baptist Church and a devoted mother and grandmother.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy S. Allport; one daughter, Thelma Lou Allport; and three brothers, Delmar Wilson, Charles Wilson, and Otis Melvin Wilson.

Left to cherish her memory include her five daughters, Cathy Mangini of New Castle, Del., Candy Workman, Christy Hunt, Rebecca Allport, all of Fayetteville, and Elizabeth Allport Campbell of Scarbro; two sons, Steven Michael Allport and Billy Wade Allport, both of Edmond; four brothers, Ronald Orie Wilson, Herbert Wilson, Marshal Wilson, and Grover Wilson; six sisters, Mary Cox, Dellmae Stuahldreher, Emily McGlott, Olamarie Halsted, Wilma King, and Lena White; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, with Pastor Kenny Hayes officiating. Burial to follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor.

The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at the funeral home.
