Opal A. Hudson, 94, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008.
She attended Carson Newman College and taught in Morgan County, and Hamilton County schools. She retired from teaching kindergarten at Red Bank Baptist Church. Her church membership was at Oak Street Baptist Church, Soddy-Daisy.
Preceding her in death were her parents, James B. Alderson and Lucy P. Alderson; brother, Charles M. Alderson; and husband, L. Pat Hudson.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy (Vivian) Hudson; daughter, Judy (J.E.) Carroll; grandsons, Scott Hudson, Jake and Jason Carroll; and six great-grandchildren.
To the staff at Soddy-Daisy Healthcare: We, Jimmy, Judy and family could never say "thank you" enough to cover all the care and love you have given mother for eight years. We will never forget.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today in Chattanooga Memorial Park with the Rev. James M. Evans officiating.
There is no visitation at the funeral home.
