They also had Five Daughters: Mrs. Elsie Lee Newcomer, Atoona, Pa; Mrs Anna Marie St Clair, Bethesda, Md; Mrs Helen May Snead, Mrs Hazel Helma Morrison both of Troutville, Virginia and Mrs Florence June Snead, Roanoke, Virginia. He was a mountain man, trapper and hunter and knew the mountain where he lived on Sawmill Road off Wildwood Road, like the back of his hand. He was very proud of his 36 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was also survived by a sister Ada Campbell of Covington, Virginia and one brother Charles Fridley of Richmond, Virginia".7,8 
Burial* His body was interred at Roanoke, VA, at Blue Ridge Mem Gardens.7

Biography*12 Jul 1961 Oscar O. Wheeler Observes Birthday JUMPING BRANCH (RNS) - Oscar 0. Wheeler observed his 75th birthday anniversary Wednesday. He has lived alone since the death of his wife in 1945. He is very careful about his diet and eats only the simple foods. He grinds his own flour on a small electric mill from wheat which he orders from Texas, called hard wheat. He doesn't use fatty foods and only a small amount of sweets. Wheeler believes that a large per cent of the American people shorten their lives by eating too great a variety of food and over eating.
Wheeler drives his own car and has traveled extensively, having been in all states except Maine and Vermont.
During his life he has worked at a number of occupations. Before his retirement he was employed as a night watchman during the building of the West Virginia Turnpike through Raleigh County.
He has one daughter in California and two sons.9

SANDSTONE _ Mrs. Emma Jane Bowles Brewer, 89, of Sandstone, Summers County, died Friday at Summers County Hospital after a long illness. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Paden City. Surviving: husband, Clarence of Hilldale; son, Conward Bowles of Girard, Ill; daughters, Nellie Wood of Hinton, Ina Richmond of Kernersville, N.C., Clara Shaffer of Tennessee, Zelma Bloom of Fayetteville, Charlene Offenstein of Huntington Beach, Calif., Louise Adkins of Sandstone and Lorene Ayers of Gaines, Mich; stepdaughter, Dorothy Porter of Casselberry, Fla; 42 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m Monday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Home, Hinton, with the Rev. Johnny Atkinson and the Rev. George Cook officiating. Burial will be in Cooper Cemetery, Sandstone. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.7
