Muster roll for November and December 1864, last on file, shows him absent, wounded since4 September 22, 1864. He was paroled June 14, 1865, at Charleston, West Virginia. His description on parole is recorded as follows: Age 24 years, height 5 feet 7 inches, light complexion, blue eyes, light hair."6
