Death*3 Oct 2007 Macil died on 3 Oct 2007 at Summers Co Appalachian Reg Hosp, Hinton, Summers Co, WV, at age 92. HINTON — Macil R. Fox, 92, of 208 Seventh Ave., Hinton, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Summers County ARH Hospital following a long illness.

Born July 29, 1915, at Glade, she was the daughter of the late Blaine and Mamie Ward Richmond.

She was a former employee of the Summers County Health Department in Hinton and a homemaker. She was a member of Greenbrier Primitive Baptist Church at Hilldale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Fox; an infant son, Harold Fox; beloved son-in-law, Jerry C. Spicer; four sisters, Edna Ward, Nellie Bragg, Ruby Crum and Margie Cales; and five brothers, Clyde, Herbert, Johnny, Jerry and Burner Richmond.

Survivors include three daughters, Louanna Fox and Shirley J. Spicer, both of Hinton, and Lora L. Barnes and husband, Don, of Lerona; four sisters, Anna Graham and Jean Deeds, both of Hinton, Glenna Petrey of Lerona and Pat Humphreys and husband, Lloyd, of Cleveland, Ohio; a special granddaughter, Virginia LeAnn Butler and husband, Mike, of Fayetteville, N.C; a special grandson, Donald Barnes II of Morgantown; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Melissa, Justin and Jackie Butler, all of Fayetteville, N.C; a special and helpful friend, Margaret Plumley of Meadow Creek; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Upland Cemetery with Elders M.B. Wills and James Boothe officiating. Burial will follow.

Friends may call noon to 2 p.m. today at Pivont Funeral Home, Hinton.

Pallbearers will be Virginia LeAnn Butler, Donald Barnes, Donald Barnes II, Harold Spicer, Tyler Spicer, Melvin Plumley, Ray Boone and Philip Donnelly.
