Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Fred Villinger officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Adrian E. Hardman, 92 of Barboursville, formerly of South Charleston, died Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the Wyngate Senior Living Community in Barboursville. He retired from Columbia Gas as manager of civil engineering, and during his career was instrumental in the construction of many of the high-pressure gas lines and compressor stations in northern West Virginia, southern Maryland and western Virginia in the 50s and 60s. He was a member of Darlington Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the South Charleston Masonic Lodge No. 168. A native of Morgantown, he received a BS degree in civil engineering from WVU and was a registered professional engineer in West Virginia and Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 as an officer in the Engineer Corps and spent two years in the Philippines. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Hardman; and his wife Mildred. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Sue Ellen Hardman of Barboursville; and three grandchildren, Shelley Rowe and husband Brett, Benjamin Hardman and wife Erika, both of Barboursville and Stephanie Landers and husband Michael of Davidson, N.C. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Blaine, Madison and Braiden Rowe, and Zach, Cooper, and Parker Hardman. He will always be remembered for his dry sense of humor and interesting conversation. A service to honor the life of Adrian E. Hardman will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston, with Pastor Skip Seibel of First Presbyterian Church of Huntington officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Family and friends will visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests that donations be sent to the American Heart Association (West Virginia Region) Memorials and Donations, P.O. BLEDSOE, IRIS
QUERTINMONT, 101, of Sanford, passed away on January 24, 2013 at the Atria at Lake Forest, Sanford, FL. Born in Fairmont, WV, in 1911, she graduated from Charleston High School and attended West Virginia Wesleyan in Buckhannon, WV. She married Raymond L. Bledsoe in 1934 and relocated through much of her life on the US East Coast and overseas in Austria and the Azores. She held secretarial positions in both the private and public sectors, ending with the US Air Force. Iris retired with her husband (since deceased) to Winter Park FL in 1964, where she held leadership positions in Winter Park Welcome Wagon and Coterie. A passionate bridge player, she introduced many to the game through the classes she conducted for many decades. An early resident at the then Heritage at Lake Forest, she organized the Welcoming Committee and sat on the residents' Advisory Board. She is survived by her two sons, Robert and Michael, and her three grandchildren, Diana Powers, Matthew
Bledsoe, and Christine Bledsoe. A visitation will be held on January 27, 2013 from 6-8PM at the Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 9:30 am at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Comforter.2
